SUMMARY:Rich Mountain Battle Commemoration
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nMeet us at the Battlefield for a full day commemorating the Battle of Rich Mountain! From stories to supper\, this is a day to remember.\n\nAt 2:30pm\, join local historian Hunter Lesser and RMBF President Richard Wolfe on top of Rich Mountain at the Hart homestead\, where the battle took place. On this walking tour\, hear the stories of the battle while standing where soldiers stood 165 years before.\n\nAt 4pm\, meet at Field of Fire Pavilion\, in Mabie\, WV\, below the Battlefield for the ribbon cutting to mark the reopening of the Camp Garnett trail! RMBF Battlefield Coordinator Jesse will lead the trail walk to show his work restoring the trail this spring.\n\nAt 5pm\, return to the Field of Fire for a delicious smoked pork dinner! Sandwiches and a picnic spread are available to enjoy with the whole family! $12 at the door\, $10 in advance. The proceeds will help support ongoing battlefield preservation!\n\nAt 5:30-7:30\, Andy Fitzgibbon\, Rory Mullennex\, and Tom Hoffman will take the stage to play some old time tunes and wrap up the commemoration day.\n\n\nMusic and tours are free and open to the public!\nField of Fire Pavilion is located at the intersection of Mabie Road and Rich Mountain Road on the western side of the battlefield.  \nCall 304-637-7424 for more information! \nDinner Tickets are available for Pre-Sale Here: LINK

DESCRIPTION:  \nOur biggest heritage event of the year\, Beverly Heritage Day 2026 will focus on commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and our theme of “Building Beverly\, Building the Nation” at the event on July 18th from 10 AM-5 PM. Beverly Heritage Day is free (except food and craft items for sale) but donations are appreciated. \nFun and learning for all ages! \nLiving history\, primitive encampments\, artisan demonstrations\, educational lectures\, live music\, interactive games for kids\, food vendors\, Early Settler’s Reunion\, and more.
