A Strawberry Celebration: Planting the Seed! – Day 1: After-School Fun!
Join the Beverly Heritage Center in celebrating strawberries this spring! We in West Virginia love strawberries today, but their importance in our region predate our festivals by a long while. Strawberries, and the “wild” strawberry in particular, are celebrated by the Indigenous people and communities who have lived in these mountains since time immemorial. We welcome Chef Lorinda to Beverly to lead us in learning more about Seneca connections to the strawberry, celebrating this first fruit of the spring. Rifle Rally
Presented by the Rich Mountain Battlefield Foundation and the Tygart Valley Lions Club, this annual event is well-known for great food and great prizes! We have sold out for the past 17 years, so get your tickets soon. Purchase your tickets at the Beverly Heritage Center (10am to 5pm, Wed-Sun) or contact a TV Lions Club member. Full tickets are $50 each. Each full ticket holder may also purchase a guest ticket for $25 and Under-12 child tickets for $10.
Logan Lot Archaeology Day — Open to the Public
Come on down to the backyard of the Logan House as we uncover history! Thanks to a state grant, the Beverly Landmarks Commission and the Rich Mountain Battlefield Foundation have hired AllStar Ecology, a natural and cultural resources management firm to conduct a Phase I excavation on the Logan House property located at 831 Main Street in Beverly, Randolph County, West Virginia. Old Fashioned Christmas
Come one, come all! Join the Beverly community for Christmas traditions across time. From 10am to 5pm, come to the Beverly Heritage Center for free crafts and treats!
